Unlike traditional desserts that are loaded with sugar, Enlightened products are made using natural sweeteners that won’t spike blood sugar. Each of our Canadian products contains way less sugar than traditional ice cream!
As of now, unlike our US line, our Canadian pints do not have a kosher certification. Enlightened cheesecakes have Tablet-K kosher certification and Enlightened bars have COR kosher certification.
We use a few different natural sweeteners—erythritol, monk fruit, and xylitol. (Note: Dogs should not eat xylitol, so please don’t share Enlightened with your furry friends!)
All of our Canadian pints are gluten-free. Enlightened cheesecakes and bars are made in a facility that processes wheat, but do not contain any wheat-based ingredients.
Our Canadian pints are made in a nut free facility. Enlightened cheesecakes contain almonds and are made in a facility that processes peanuts and tree nuts. Some Enlightened bar flavors contain peanuts or almonds, and all flavors are made in a facility that processes peanuts and tree nuts.Show less
A pint of Enlightened contains 3 3/4-cup servings.
Despite the similar name, soluble dextrin fibre is a different ingredient from maltodextrin that does not cause the blood sugar spikes that maltodextrin is known for. According to the latest peer-reviewed data, soluble dextrin fibre is a great option for adding fibre to keto and low-carb diets.
Yes! All of our desserts sold in Canada are made in Canada using Canadian dairy.
We work super hard all year long to get your favourite stores to make room for us on their shelves, and you can help us get there: We encourage you to submit a product request form to your store to let them know which flavours you’d like to see on shelves—if they know you want it, they’ll want to carry it! Many grocery stores also have their own product request forms on their website, so you may be able to submit a request with your favourite directly.
