I am new to my journey of low-sugar and calorie-conscious ice cream, but was used to bland flavors, few mix-ins, and undesirable texture. I used to work as an ice cream chef so my standards are quite high when choosing a replacement when it comes to frozen desserts. I was so pleased to find the Bake the World a Better Place ice cream by Enlightened because not only is it lower in sugar and calories than most ice creams, but it was able to hit the mark in all other categories. I was shocked when I licked my lid and the ice cream was bursting with pecan pie flavor (!!), and didn't even consider waiting the recommended 5 minutes out of the freezer to dig in. On my very first bite I got a bit of the pie crust mix-in, which was sweet, salty, buttery, and mouth-watering. As I kept eating I discovered more to love, like the truly crunchy pecans and the gooey honey swirl, and the texture was exactly like traditional ice cream, whipped beautifully and extremely scoop-able. 10/10, so glad I found this brand, I wish this flavor wasn't seasonal and am looking forward to new seasonal flavors from this brand as I continue to try their products and become a fan.
